THE ETERNAL SEARCH FOR THE $200 HAMBURGER

In a recent issue of “Pilot Getaways” magazine, Spruce Creek (7FL6), a private residential airport community near Daytona Beach was featured.  Not one to miss a new destination with a restaurant, Ellen Herr suggested we take a look.

The Spruce Creek website provided terrific information about the airport and its procedures. As example there are several pages of details, maps and diagrams…just about everything needed to fly in including a non-published GPS approach. (It’s in the G430)  And because this is a private airport they want to know you are coming.  So call ahead.

Welcome to the Cub Club where we have over 50 years of Flying Fun!


According to an old story, we call it "The Cub Club" because our very first aircraft was a brand new Piper Cub. We're not really sure, but we do know that we've been offering safe, economical aviation to pilots and student pilots in Southwest Florida for almost 60 years. Members enjoy low, all-inclusive hourly rates, no ground time or overnight charges, and a whole "fleet" of other benefits, too.

The Cub Club currently operates a fleet of four aircraft, renting from about $45.00 to $84.00 per hour, dry. So, there are planes available to suit every aviation purpose and budget. All Club aircraft have panel mounted GPS and are fully IFR-equipped.
