Welcome to the Cub Club where we have over 50 years of Flying Fun!
According to an old story, we call it "The Cub Club" because our very first aircraft was a brand new Piper Cub. We're not really sure, but we do know that we've been offering safe, economical aviation to pilots and student pilots in Southwest Florida for almost 60 years. Members enjoy low, all-inclusive hourly rates, no ground time or overnight charges, and a whole "fleet" of other benefits, too. Here in Southwest Florida you'll discover sensational flying opportunities at just about any heading you fly, with interesting destinations at almost any point of the compass, as long as it isn't 270. Some of our members are high-time military and airline pilots who are always ready to share their knowledge and experience. There's no shortage of "hangar flying" around the Cub Club. One more thing ... we're VERY serious about airworthiness and aircraft safety. All Club aircraft are maintained on a regular basis in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations and Airworthiness Directives.
Fly more...For Less!
Membership in the Cub Club gives you the chance to fly more, for less. And you'll learn plenty from the interesting and informative guest speakers at our regular monthly meetings. Now is a great time to become part of our over than 50-year tradition of safe, fun, economical flying! If safe, economical flying isn't enough, we've got plenty of other activities to keep you interested. We Fly In, We Fly Out.
Fly-ns, for example. Several times a year we fly to nearby (and less crowded) airfields for a day of cookouts and competition. How's your short-field landing technique? How about power-off approaches? Our scheduled flying activities give you the chance to find out ... and improve your skills at the same time. In addition to flying in, you can fly out, too. A group of members might get a small fleet together for a weekend in Bimini or Walker's Cay. It's a great way to meet your fellow members and learn those international flying procedures, too. Students are welcome!
Some of our more senior members recall when you could earn a private pilot's license for around $800. Not any more. That's why our main goal is to keep flying affordable ... and to help new pilots discover the fun and usefulness of private aviation. If you're a student pilot, or you're thinking about learning to fly, the Cub Club is a great opportunity for you to get your license at the lowest possible hourly cost. |
